	Due to the tremendous effort and commitment of MICC, Jackson North Medical Center is now included in the STEMI network. The STEMI network is a network of hospitals allowed to receive patents suffering from acute coronary syndromes (heart attack). This designation is given only to facilities achieving rigorous standards and criteria, including quality and volume elements. This great accomplishment will improve the services available at Jackson North Medical Center.
	MICC is proud to announce we have fully implemented an electronic medical record (EMR) system throughout all of our locations. Congress has mandated all hospitals and physicians to implement an EMR system by 2014. We recognized the importance of transitioning to EMRs and are way ahead of the Federal mandates. We were one of the first cardiology practices in Miami to introduce this. Our system, Intergy by Sage, has been approved by the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT®), a certifying body recognized by the Federal Government. >> Learn more
	MICC has recently been recognized for our significant commitment to quality and safety by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Medicine Laboratories (ICANL). ICANL, a non-profit organization, developed a standardized accreditation program which evaluates critical components of nuclear cardiology laboratories. Following rigorous reviews and evaluations, ICANL granted accreditation to MICC.
